WHAT YOULL BE DOING
The Planner/ Buyer role is a key position in our Reno Nevada operation supporting the Stormwater Business Units pump station product line. This position operates primarily in an office and shop environment collaborating with internal project teams operations and vendors to manage day-to-day procurement and supply chain transactions.
Reporting to the Materials Manager youll primarily work with the Operational Manager Engineering and Operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Creating processing and tracking purchase orders in our ERP system (IFS) to ensure timely cost-effective procurement.
Reviewing and converting requisitions from internal teams into accurate purchase orders.
Engaging vendors to confirm pricing delivery timelines and purchase terms.
Collaborating with warehouse and operations staff to ensure accurate receiving and inventory management.
Monitoring open orders resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate vendor and order data in ERP and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2 years of purchasing procurement or supply chain experience (construction manufacturing or industrial equipment industries preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems purchasing workflows and vendor management.
- Associate degree in business supply chain management or related field (bachelors degree preferred).
