You will be a member of the Finance Department reporting to the Responsible of Accounting this role you will evolve in a fast-moving environment where performing a wide variety of tasks with a strong focus on accounting and financial reporting. You will use analytics in the day-to-day execution of your work provide timely and accurate information supporting decision-making and seek to improve processes where possible.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger prepare journal entries and produce various accounting schedules/reconciliation in accordance with various GAAPSs either for the bank in Switzerland (IFRS and ARB-FINMA) or for one of the foreign subsidiaries (local GAAP)
- Perform month-end account-closing activities and reconciliations
- Actively participate in the half-year and year-end closing with responsibility for specific topics and notes to the financial statements. This includes the preparation of responses to inquiries from external auditors
- Take responsibility in accounting projects as assigned by management
- Assist other departments of the company or foreign subsidiaries of the Group in accounting issues and queries
- Comply with standard accounting principles and company policies
- Involvement in the budget preparation and monitoring
- Prepare miscellaneous regulatory filings (for the SNB or FINMA as example) as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent diploma in accounting finance or economics
- Minimum of 5 years track record in a similar role ideally in the banking industry
- Fluent in French and English (oral and written)
- Experience with IFRS and generally accepted accounting principles in Switzerland (Accounting Rules for Banks ARB-FINMA is a plus)
- Excellent MS Office (Excel in particular) skills
- Knowledge of Temenos T24 and OneStream is considered a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to deliver quality work efficiently in a fast-moving environment
- Meticulous able to collaborate cross functionally and to work on several subjects in parallel attentive to details with very good organisation skills.
