Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Engineer to join our dynamic this role you will design build and maintain our service mesh infrastructure and k8s infrastructure that forms the backbone of our microservice architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing service-to-service communication data plane and control plane and have hands-on experience in managing k8s workloadsKey Responsibilities:

Architect deploy and manage istio mesh infrastructure and k8s infrastructure
Work closely with development teams to understand and cater to their needs in architecture.
Implement and manage service discovery load-balancing traffic management and observability within the service mesh.
Implement and manage workload deployment scheduling within AWS EKS.
Respond promptly to service interruptions and assist in capacity planning and performance tuning.
Proactively monitor service operations to detect and troubleshoot potential issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
5 years of experience in managing microservices architecture.
Familiar with network protocols like HTTP TCP/IP and gRPC.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools infrastructure as code etc.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Go Java or Python.
Excellent problem-solving skills strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work in a team.

Nice to have:
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies like istio linkerd consul etc
- Familiarity with k8s management like AWS EKS GKE
- Knowledge and experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-native stack and cloud-based environments (AWS Google Cloud Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of security practices.
- Strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work in a team.
