Job Summary
The Planner Scheduler Sheetmetal Fab will be based in Dallas TX reporting to Master Scheduler
This role will be In charge of helping materials and production functions. Plans schedules coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
Here is a glimpse of what youll do:
- Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials and employees) confirmation of the order.
- Preparation of production plans input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company notification of the purchasing group.
- Monitoring control of implementation of plans starting necessary actions in case of deviations
- Preparation of long-term plans forecasts (MPS Forecast).
- Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data routing BOM CFT data /non-consumed demand planned WOs.
- Preparing of Clean to build reports checking the material availability replanning if necessary informing of order desk ECO implementation tracing.
- Monitoring of stock level handling of stock differences.
- Preparing management and CFT specificized reports monitoring of KPIs.
- Giving assistance replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
- Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
- Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD) lead-time response time and inventory goals.
- Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs.
- May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
- Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
- Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
- Provides input to management reschedules and /or interfaces with customer program management master scheduling customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes labor and material shortages backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
- Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
- May also help inventory control supply chain management material planning and scheduling.
Here is some of what youll need (required):
- Typically requires a bachelors degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of Flexs functional standards.
- Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
- Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
- Ability to operate data entry office software including word processing spreadsheets presentation packages and data base systems.
- Familiar with reading mechanical blueprints and schematics for product
- General understanding of sheet metal equipment
- Knowledge of ERP (similar to SAP Oracle or Baan)
- Intermediate experience with Excel
