We are seeking 2 skilled Geologists to join the Sakatti Project in Finland supporting the Senior Project Geologist in delivering key exploration outcomes. This field-oriented role involves executing geological services such as core logging sampling QA/QC monitoring and drill core photography while supervising drilling and geophysical surveys managing contractors and contributing to technical audits and reports. The successful candidate will plan and oversee fieldwork logistics assess and mitigate project risks and provide technical input across geoscience functions. This is a hands-on opportunity to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors in a dynamic Arctic environment driving performance and contributing to the responsible development of mineral resources.
Core Responsibilities (amongst others):
- Consistently apply safety and health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety and health systems within working area.
- Assist Sakatti Senior Geologist in all geoscience functions of the Sakatti project
- Execute geological services: core logging sampling mark-up QA/QC standards core cutting monitoring drill core photography
- Supervise field activities: drilling geophysical surveys contractor oversight daily drilling progress reporting
- Input of weekly progress reports
- Participate in geoscience-related studies
- Provide cross sections and plans from new drilling data
- Participate in weekly technical audits
- Contribute to technical reports
- Plan and manage fieldwork logistics
- Provide technical contributions to the Sakatti project
- Integrate identified risks into project design and deliverables
- Conduct risk assessments and compile risk management plan

- Minimum 3 years experience in exploration and mining
- Understands local geological issues
- Analyses complex geology
- Translates data into actionable geological plans Enabling Technical Excellence (Level 1)

- Adheres to Anglo American standards Responsible SHEC Practice (Level 1)
