Basic Job Functions:
TheThread lineTeam Leader is responsible for overseeing all Thread line operations as well as maintaining the overall quality of the product.
- Complete all shift reports for the day
- Performs hourly inspections of the tubing
- Consolidates data for chaser usage
- Oversees the set-up adjustments and change overs for all equipment of the machine
- Performs preventative maintenance on the machine when necessary
- Handles and disposes of all hazardous material created and zinc contaminated dust filters
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a production environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 year of leading a team in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Significant work and understanding of Thread lineprocess
- Ability to work in a team environment with strong positive communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse Operations including Overhead Cranes and Lift Trucks
