The opportunity

Senior Manager Cloud Architect to join the EY Romania team to design and implement robust cloud solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across customer environments.

You will be part of a high-performing team who works together cohesively and effectively to achieve our and our clients goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities

Design and architect scalable secure and high-performance cloud solutions that meet business requirements.

Lead the migration of on-premises applications to cloud environments ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies best practices and governance frameworks.

Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers tools and technologies to enhance the customers cloud infrastructure.

Monitor and optimize cloud performance cost and security implementing necessary adjustments as needed.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams.

Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the cloud strategy remains competitive and innovative.

Skills and attributes for success

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field

Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud architecture and design with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud; experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes); familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

Strong understanding of cloud security best practices networking and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) and demonstrated integrity in a professional environment.

Nice to Have:

Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect.

Any other vendor cybersecurity or cloud related certifications (AWS Microsoft Google Cloud Terraform etc.)
