Job Summary

Position: Director of Nursing (DON)
Location: Phoenix AZ
Schedule: Flexible 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Schedule determined by Administrator; overtime may be required)

Overview:Seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead and manage nursing operations within a long-term care facility. The DON will ensure high-quality resident care regulatory compliance and effective staffing practices while fostering a positive team environment. This role requires strong leadership clinical expertise and the ability to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily nursing department operations and ensure delivery of quality resident care
Develop implement and evaluate nursing policies procedures and workflows
Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations and survey readiness
Hire train mentor and supervise nursing staff to maintain performance standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
Monitor staffing levels and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage
Serve as a primary clinical resource and point of escalation for nursing concerns
Participate in care conferences quality improvement activities and facility leadership meetings
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Arizona
Minimum of 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
Prior nurse leadership or supervisory experience preferred
