About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Lead - Lifecycle Marketing to join our dynamic Insight & Donor Experience team.


The Lead Lifecycle Marketing is responsible for developing executing and optimizing comprehensive lifecycle strategies and programs that supports the execution of Canadian Blood Services business goals as well as becoming brand ambassadors for the organization. The Lead Lifecycle Marketing provides strategic direction on the development of approaches and tactical plans to deliver on marketing objectives incorporating various platforms/channels advises leadership on marketing challenges and leads the development of the marketing strategy for specific business objectives while ensuring accuracy and consistency of messages across the organization

Formula for success

  • Drawing on your knowledge or experience in strategic planning you will develop and lead lifecycle marketing strategies and plans that align with and support our corporate strategy.
  • You will lead lifecycle marketing strategy by defining product positioning audience segmentation and market insights to drive awareness acquisition and retention while enhancing the donor experience.
  • Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that strategies are insight-driven and aligned across messaging creative and targeting. This will enable smooth campaign development and optimization by executional partners.
  • Harnessing your lifecycle marketing expertise you will develop market strategies and integrated plans to drive awareness acquisition and retention aligning with organizational shifts toward a multi-product model and engaging diverse communities youth and priority markets.
  • Manage donor contact strategies and campaign calendars.
  • You will build effective working relationships within the organization and promote flexibility with the marketing team by easily stepping into other roles as required.
  • Engage stakeholders through regular updates and feedback sessions to enhance strategy.

Desired education and skills

  • A university degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience; including lifecycle marketing market segmentation business advertising and communications.
  • Advance knowledge of marketing strategy and campaign Management.
  • Demonstrated success in a marketing strategy role with an emphasis on developing customer journeys and optimization.
  • Development and implementation of marketing plans and analyzing and reporting on outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and create content that is relevant engaging and clear to target audiences.
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up on new tools and technology quickly.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week 7.5 hours a day.
