As a Forklift Driver at IPL you will:
- Utilize a forklift and/or hand-jack to move product throughout the warehouse and to load and unload trucks.
- Pick and select items to be shipped and check quantities for accuracy.
- Utilize a handheld scanner for inventory control purposes.
- Complete customer orders by obtaining product from warehouse stock and deliver to the designated staging area.
- Apply labels to pallets prepared for shipment where necessary and maintain pick records of items for shipment.
- Unload delivery vehicles: o Verify delivery quantities by comparing items received to the packing slips
- Visually inspect for shortages and notify management of discrepancies
- Move lift and carry delivered items to appropriate areas and stock safely.
- Always maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Always adhere to company safety policies.
What you will bring to the role:
- Ability to read speak and understand English
- Ability to safely operate a forklift certification provided on-site
- Reliability and good attendance is imperative
- Ability to work from written and verbal instructions
- Time management planning and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team and maintain good working relationships with co-workers Math aptitude ability to add subtract multiply and divide
- Prior work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
