Job Summary (ICU/CCU RN - Days):
- Unit: ICU/CCU
- Start Date: 12/1
- Shift: Days every other weekend required
- Experience Required: Minimum 3 years ICU/CCU experience
- Float Requirement: Possible float to DOU Tele or Med Tele units
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- CPI MAB or VIP
- NIHSS
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Use of FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring systems
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Multi-system organ failure management
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
- Manage IV insulin protocols
- Care for chronic/acute renal failure patients
- Accessing ports and arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central and PICC line care and management
- Initiate IVs and manage continuous IV paralytics/sedation
- Administer emergency and procedural sedation medications
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Manage CVA/acute stroke hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
- Assist with BiPAP CPAP and HFNC management
- ABG interpretation and suctioning (ETT NT)
- Ventilator and infection prevention management
- Maintain isolation precautions/PPE use
- Phlebotomy and surgical wound care (including drains/wound vacs)
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
- Care for ventilated patients
Scheduling & Contract Details:
- No RTO (Requested Time Off) permitted in the first two weeks
- Maximum 3 days RTO allowed during contract
- Must be willing to work holidays
- RTO must be submitted with application and cannot be changed except to cancel days off
Other Requirements:
- Must be comfortable with all listed skills and willing to float as needed
- Strong commitment to contract terms and patient care standards
