About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair maintenance and diagnostics with the ability to perform work efficiently and accurately in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues in components and systems.
Diagnose maintain and repair automotive systems including engines transmissions brakes and electrical systems.
Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor to provide repair recommendations and time estimates.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed according to manufacturer and warranty specifications.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and positive attitude.
Stay current with new automotive technology and participate in ongoing training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
GM experience or certification preferred.
Recognized as a Journeyman Technician or equivalent skill level.
Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and read technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
