Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with a strong background in SQL Server 2014 SSIS and SSRS to join our client team at CNA Insurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing developing and maintaining SQL-based solutions along with an understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance data and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain SQL Server databases stored procedures views and functions.
- Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries for data extraction transformation and reporting.
- Build deploy and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes and data integration between multiple systems.
- Create and manage SSRS reports and dashboards to meet business and operational needs.
- Analyze troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues in SQL Server environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support data quality consistency and security standards across multiple systems.
- Participate in system design discussions and provide recommendations for database improvements.
- Work closely with insurance business users to ensure data accuracy and reporting reliability for P&C operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 6 years of professional experience as a SQL Developer.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (and later versions).
- Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Advanced T-SQL scripting and query optimization skills.
- Experience in data analysis data modeling and ETL workflows.
- Knowledge of P&C Insurance data including policies claims underwriting and billing systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with insurance domain clients (CNA Insurance experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts and Power BI reporting.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Stored Procedures automation or Control-M scheduling tools.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Must have strong data understanding and ability to deliver accurate high-quality reports and ETL processes.
