Job Title: Installation Technician
Location: Kentucky South Carolina Alaska
Duration: 2 years (Potential Extension)
Shift Timing: Standard Shift
Position Summary
- The Installation Technician will perform onsite installation service and testing of Companys technology solutions.
- This position requires strong hands-on skills customer service and familiarity with network infrastructure.
- The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure timely high-quality installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite installation configuration and testing of routers POTS-in-a-Box units UCaaS systems and related equipment.
- Conduct site surveys document requirements and assess installation environments.
- Install terminate and test cabling (voice/data) and low-voltage infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Ethernet TCP/IP VLANs DHCP QoS and network hardware.
- Coordinate with project managers clients and vendors to ensure successful installations.
- Provide professional customer service and represent Company positively at client sites.
- Complete documentation job tickets and installation reports accurately and on time.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and voice/data wiring standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or technical certification in telecommunications networking or electronics.
- 1 2 years of experience in IT telecom or low-voltage field installation.
- Experience installing routers switches VoIP systems or fiber connectivity.
- Certifications such as A Network or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams UCaaS platforms and field service tools.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Technicians must be able to stand bend climb kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work may occur indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions and travel may be required.
- Use of standard tools and electronic devices is expected.
