JOB Overview:
The Automotive Propulsion Fuel Flow Control Engineer is responsible for the design analysis and optimization of fuel delivery control systems within advanced propulsion units
including internal combustion engines hybrid systems and alternative fuel technologies. This role ensures detailed design and development of the fuel flow control models per the
requirements; proposing solutions to the issues; working in close collaboration with systems & Calibration teams and SMEs for the complex system.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop fuel flow systems for automotive propulsion platforms
Conduct simulations and CFD analyses to optimize fuel delivery and combustion efficiency.
Collaborate with engine calibration thermal and controls teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Analyze fuel system performance data and troubleshoot issues.
Develop and execute test procedures for fuel flow components and systems.
Ensure compliance with automotive safety emissions and regulatory standards
Prepare technical documentation including design specs test reports and validation protocols
Support R & Dinitiatives for alternative fuels and electrified
propulsion systems.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field
Min 7 years of relevant experience.
Strong foundation in fluid dynamics thermodynamics and combustion principles.
Experience with fuel system components (injectors pumpsvalves sensors).
Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS MATLAB GT-Power)
Familiarity with automotive propulsion systems (ICE hybrid EV).
Knowledge of emissions control technologies and fuel economy strategies is preferred
Exposure to regulatory standards (EPA CARB Euro 6) is preferred
Project management experience and ability to lead cross functional initiatives.
Office and lab-based work with occasional travel to test facilities or manufacturing sites.
Collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation and sustainability
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience in automotive testing environments (dyno test benches) is preferred
