Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineer to join our clients team in South Africa. This role will focus on the development and support of origination applications and related integrations with a strong emphasis on C# .NET and Azure cloud services.

You will play a key role in both project delivery and business-as-usual (BAU) activities including feature development incident resolution and system maintenance. The environment is fast-paced and high-impact supporting critical lending workflows so a solid understanding of banking and financial services will be beneficial.

Requirements

Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and ongoing support.

Collaborate with business analysts product owners and solution architects to refine requirements and design scalable solutions.

Develop deploy and maintain solutions that enable core lending business processes and system integrations.

Design and implement enhancements using C# .NET and Azure services.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps ensuring robust automated and high-quality delivery.

Operate within a you build it you run it model including participation in support rotations for critical systems when required.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents performance issues and production defects.

Ensure all solutions comply with security governance and regulatory standards.

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies sprint reviews and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Core Requirements

35 years of hands-on experience with C# and technologies (.NET Core / .NET 6).
Azure certification: Microsoft AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) required.
Proven experience with Azure services (Functions App Services Service Bus Logic Apps API Management).
Experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD and automated deployments.
Strong understanding of SQL Server query optimization and schema design.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing frameworks.
Solid grasp of secure coding practices and application security principles.
Comfortable working within Agile teams and iterative delivery models.

Education & Certifications

BSc Degree or equivalent in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) required.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) desirable.
