RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an Senior Staff Nurse for a Nursing home in Co Kilkenny Ireland.
Responsibilities
Supervise lead and manage staff delegating and allocating duties as required.
Ensure residents are treated with dignity privacy and respect recognising their individuality.
Implement and monitor the Named Nurse system ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Build meaningful relationships with residents families and visitors providing support and comfort particularly to the bereaved.
Ensure all Healthcare policies and procedures are known and followed by staff.
Maintain clear concise and accurate records in line with legislation and Healthcare standards.
Adhere to policies for the safe control administration and storage of all medicines.
Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA standards and actively participate in the inspection process.
Oversee resident admissions ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.
Liaise with healthcare professionals to support safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
Requirements
First level nursing registration.
Registered on the NMBI live register.
Previous managerial training or experience is an advantage.
Excellent leadership organisational and communication skills.
Strong decision-making ability.
Self-motivated with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Able to work independently and promote a positive team environment.
