Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Vacancy for the 2025- 2026 School Year The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes enrollment or budget. Position: Long-Term Substitute Recess/ Lunch AideLocation: South Row Elementary School Assignment Dates: Immediate Start- June 18 2026 (Dates are subject to change)Job Goal: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized smoothly-functioning school environment. Duties include supervise students during recess and lunch periods. During the lunch period: provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials cleaning tables and monitoring social interactions. At recess: closely monitor students for safety social interactions and appropriate play. The successful candidate will be able to work on a team of recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom office and library with miscellaneous should hold the following qualifications:* High School Diploma* Experience working with children.* Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the elementary level.* Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting.* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and to: School PrincipalWork Days: 181-day work yearHours per week: 15 hours per week Pay Rate: $16/ per hour
