What are we looking for

The DRAFTER/CAD OPER III This position is responsible for the preparation of various CAD deliverables including drawings and models and providing CAD support to field activities and work executions. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the 3D solutions Manager and collaborate closely with the existing CAD Team. The CAD project schedules are often challenging and the candidate will be required to be experienced and well-organized.

This position will travel occasionally to work sites around 5% of time.

Shift/Schedule: 8 hrs Monday thru Friday with occasional overtime

What youll do:

• Interface with 3D solutions Manager to understand client needs and required deliverables.
• Receiving direction from 3D solutions Manager and collaborating with the existing CAD Team on daily activities and tasks.
• Utilize Laser Scan data to assist in producing CAD models isometrics and 2D fabrication drawings.
• Quality control of CAD models and drawings.
• Work according to the required priorities and schedules reporting on progress to 3D solutions Manager.
• Directly liaise activities with Client Representatives as directed by 3D solutions manager.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Technical or associates degree in CAD Drafting & Design Technology or equivalent technical/job experience.

• Experience with 3D CAD software

• Experience in 3D modeling from Laser Scan data.

• Experience in the preparation of structural and piping drawings.

• Experience reading P&ID Process Flow Diagrams and identifying components from images/scan data.

• Microsoft Office proficiency including Word Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to work well under pressure and understand deadlines.

• Attention to detail and able to follow specific directions and procedures.

• Good communication skills both verbally and written in English.

• Good organizational skills.

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience working with survey as-built reports

• Supervisory experience is an advantage.

• Experience with some of the following - Autodesk Plant 3D Autodesk AutoCAD AVEVA PCM Server (legacy LFM server) Autodesk Revit Autodesk Navisworks Hexagon CAD Worx
