Job Summary

Position Overview:

The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing IT operations systems and infrastructure to support manufacturing plants across the EMEA region. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives. The Senior IT Manager will act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders ensuring seamless collaboration and driving innovation to enhance operational efficiency.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with Business Partners:
    • Engage with business leaders to understand operational challenges and identify technology-driven solutions.
    • Facilitate communication between IT teams and business units to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners providing insights on emerging technologies and their potential impact.
  • Strategic Planning & Program management
    • Develop and execute IT strategies tailored to the needs of manufacturing plants in the EMEA region.
    • Plan and oversee system upgrades process improvements and technology roadmaps to support long-term business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements within manufacturing IT systems.
    • Develop a detailed roadmap for the SAP/system rollout/upgrades including scope objectives timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Leadership
    • Lead mentor and develop a team of IT professionals fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Encourage collaboration and innovation within the team to address complex challenges.
    • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality IT services.
    • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to meet organizational standards.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure IT systems comply with industry standards regulatory requirements and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Implement measures to safeguard sensitive manufacturing data and systems.
    • Develop strategies to identify tech debt & potential risks implementing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • 15 years of experience in IT management with a focus on manufacturing - with at least 7-10 yrs in a leadership role.
  • Experience in leading major SAP/ERP programs & initiatives
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems including MES & shopfloor technologies.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and project management methodologies (e.g. Agile PMP).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure cloud technologies and cybersecurity principles.
