ABOUT THE SALES & SERVCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:
TheBlue JaysSales & Service Development Programis the natural starting point for emerging professionals seeking an opportunity tolearn the fundamentals of sales and service. This program is a 12-month entry level position focused on mentoring coaching and developing successful candidates to becoming product experts and industry-best salespeople. Graduates from this program will be well-positioned for available full-time opportunities available within the organization.
The Toronto Blue Jays Ticketing Team prioritizes a collaborative inclusive culture where learning is continuous and each team member is empowered to achieve goals and to theManagement teams within the Memberships Premium Seatingand Group Sales departmentsthis role is primarily responsiblefor helpingthe Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Clubgenerate newticketing subscriptionand eventsaleswhile learning the fundamentals of selling within the sports and entertainment industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer all inbound sales calls andassistclients as needed
- Outbound sales calling to generate and drive ticket sales primarily in the consumer market
- Identifyopportunities to upsell and cross sell to maximize ticket sales
- In person sales generation (e.g. in stadium sales booths trade shows)
- Leverage internal sales process to effectively drive new business
- Maintain a detailed touchpoint history in the Salesforce CRM by logging all customer data and interactions in a cleartimelymanner
- Stay up to date with all products pricing and benefits
- Provide consistenthigh-levelexperience to all clients
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge byparticipatingin and/or leading departmental product training sessions
- Exceed sales and revenue targets
- Work in conjunction with the entire Ticket Sales and Service team to uphold the mandates of the departmentregardingsales and service goals andobjectives
- Assistwith game day responsibilities including client meetings prospectinginitiativesand managing ticketing programs asrequired
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sales background with outbound experience is an asset
- General business knowledge with a basic understanding of Blue Jays products and services
- Strong work ethic with a humble mentality
- A strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
- Willingness to be coached with an appetite to learn and get better every day
- Ability to work collaboratively multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work evenings weekends and holidays asrequired
