Key job responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of the companys overall tax planning strategy to optimize tax efficiency and minimize the organizations tax liabilities;
Conduct thorough analysis of the companys operations transactions and financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning;
Stay up-to-date on the latest changes in Brazilian tax laws regulations and incentives and evaluates their impact on the business;
Collaborates closely with the accounting finance and legal teams to align tax planning with the companys broader business objectives;
Prepare detailed tax planning recommendations and proposals presenting them to senior leadership for approval and
Coordinate the implementation of approved tax planning strategies ensuring proper documentation and execution.
A day in the life
A day in the life
This position is not directly involved in day-to-day indirect taxes compliance but is responsible for delivering the advisory planning real time coordination and communication of various tax-related projects across regions including supporting engagements and negotiations with external advisors government bodies tax authorities and auditors.
- 4 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- 3 years of maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex) experience
- Experience with VBA Python SQL or other database language
