Job Summary
How youll make an impact
As a Dental Assistant at Lumino Ponsonby youll play a key role in creating positive patient experiences and supporting our clinicians to deliver high-quality care. Your professionalism empathy and attention to detail will help ensure smooth efficient practice operations and exceptional outcomes for every patient.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clinicians chairside during dental procedures ensuring patient comfort and efficiency
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments in line with strict infection control standards
- Sterilising and caring for dental instruments and equipment
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
- Supporting a friendly professional and patient-centred environment
Qualifications :
Your experience and approach
Were looking for someone with a positive attitude strong teamwork skills and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Prior dental experience is preferred but a willingness to learn and a passion for helping others are just as important.
You should have:
- Previous experience in a dental practice (preferred)
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and dental software
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality care
- A caring professional and adaptable approach
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient trust
