The Opportunity

Join our Lysaght business in our Geelong team as a full-time permanent Customer Service Supervisor. Made in Australia since 1921 Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes to large commercial and industrial projects.

In this rewarding and challenging role you will be supporting a high-performing Customer Service team with a focus on conflict resolution delivering exceptional customer service cross-department collaboration to provide and enhance service delivery and coordination of team priorities. You will service a variety of customers including fixers distributors resellers builders homeowners and specifiers.

As a self-motivated leader reporting to the Branch Manager you will enjoy the diversity and scope of the role gaining a deep understanding of our products and processes with exposure to various teams and projects company wide. With vast and continuously evolving learning opportunities you will be provided with the training and support required to champion the product range and offering.

What Will You Do

Working within a collaborative supportive and driven team environment youll manage and coordinate the daily workflow and priorities of the Customer Service team. You will also:

  • navigate and resolve complex customer enquiries and escalations effectively efficiently and safely
  • foster a positive work culture by supervising and motivating the Customer Service team providing clear objectives guidance and feedback to ensure smooth operations
  • collaborate with other teams including Sales Logistics and Operations to seamlessly meet customer demands in line with business resources and objectives
  • proactively create sales opportunities prepare and follow up customer quotes and support the efforts of our Sales teams and branches across Australia 
  • provide internal support and regular feedback to our Sales teams with customer and competitor information 
  • accurately work to prevent customer and order escalations whilst proactively seeking ways to enhance the customer experience

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively motivate and lead a team
  • proven ability to communicate negotiate and resolve issues effectively and efficiently 
  • problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity in resolving complex issues
  • analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new and custom IT systems
  • high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
