Job Summary
Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs tasks or duties as required; and must be able to work 2nd shift overtime and weekends as required.
The tasks required but not limited to are general housekeeping clean up sweeping lifting dump scrap operate a motorized forklift prepare finished packaging wrap finished product and other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
- Position forks under loaded pallets skids boxes products or materials and transport load to designated area.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
- Follow GMPs and safety guidelines.
- Pick customer orders as required.
- Inventory material on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Inspect trailers prior to loading and unloading product. Document onto proper form.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting devices.
- Inspect truck daily and fill out operational checklists recharge batteries.
Qualifications :
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years Forklift Operator Experience Preferred
Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge
Competencies:
- Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams
- Learn and follow written rules and procedures
- Produce accurate documentation
- Maintain acceptable attendance
- Must be willing and able to learn various positions
- Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies
- Must adhere to and comply with all safety food safety environmental GMP rules regulations and policies
Additional Information :
Physical: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds climb stairs lift bend kneel stand for long periods of time work in confined spaces and work with heights
Starting Pay: $19 plus shift differential
