The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canadas largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital as well as one of the worlds leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care research education policy development and health promotion to transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. CAMHs Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute (CFMHRI) is home to scientists staff and research trainees conducting research to improve the understanding of the brain and the causes and biomarkers of mental illness as well as making advances in prevention and treatment for mental illness and addictions across the lifespan.
CAMHs Brain Health Imaging Centre (BHIC) is a world leader in clinical brain imaging including positron emission tomography (PET) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) preclinical imaging digital autoradiography and radiochemistry production. The Centres mission is to advance the understanding of brain health and mental well-being through cutting-edge imaging technologies with a commitment to conducting innovative research providing exceptional patient care and fostering collaboration within the scientific and medical communities.
The Brain Body and Perception (BBP) Research Program is dedicated to clinical neuroscience research studies to understand relationships between brain functioning brain structure and behaviour in individuals with and without psychiatric disorders. The mission of the BBP Research Program is to advance the understanding of the brain behaviour and individuals experiences driving the development of innovative and effective treatments for those with mental illness. The BBP Research Program is seeking a full-time contract (12 months) Scientific Associate to provide expertise in brain imaging research assisting the Principal Investigator with research project responsibilities.
