Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse MS/Tele
Location: Rochester NY 14626
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days 3x12 (07:0019:00)
Block Scheduling: Not Guaranteed
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)
Float Requirement: Yes within MS units; may assist in ED holding or stable ICU patients as needed
Weekly Schedule: Every Other Weekend Required (EOW)
First Time Travelers Accepted: Yes
Unit & Workload Details
Final unit placement will be confirmed closer to the start date.
Recruiter will provide unit-specific details once assigned.
Typical RN Ratios:
Day/Evening: 1:5 (may stretch to 1:67)
Nights: 1:67 (may stretch to 1:810 depending on staffing)
Support Staff & Workflows:
Patient Care Techs perform vitals blood glucose checks EKGs ADLs
In-house phlebotomy handles peripheral lab draws
RN responsible for central line & PICC line draws
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Experience: 1 Year MS/Tele (recent)
License: Active NY RN License (no pending)
Certifications: BLS Required
Charting: Epic Required
Must Have Clinical Skills:
Telemetry monitoring
Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias
IV insulin protocols & heparin protocols
Enteral feeding tube care & management
Cardiac drips (monitoring no active titration)
Chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
External CPAP/BiPAP
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Tracheostomy care
Wound care & Wound Vac management
Common Patient Conditions
Infection/sepsis workups
Altered mental status / delirium
Pain management needs
Patients requiring increased level of care
Additional Notes
RTO Limit: Maximum of 1 week may be approved per contract
Scrub Colors: Any combination of navy white
