Position Overview

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for delivering superior client service and maintaining strong long-term relationships with personal insurance clients. This individual will manage a personal lines portfolio by providing knowledgeable advice proactive solutions and prompt professional service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced motivated insurance professional who enjoys working in a client-focused and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a personal lines book of business by providing outstanding customer service and proactive client communication

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance partners

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and claims providing claims counselling and following internal claims procedures

  • Review and process policy renewals ensuring accuracy appropriate coverage and competitive premiums; remarket accounts as necessary

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products market trends and underwriting guidelines by attending meetings webinars and training sessions

  • Encourage clients to explore additional coverage options such as commercial or financial services

  • Accurately update and maintain client records in the EPIC management system following internal procedures and documentation standards

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients colleagues and insurers to ensure service excellence and reduce the risk of E&O exposure

  • Adhere to all company policies binding authority limits and compliance requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • RIBO license required

  • Minimum 2 years of personal lines customer service experience in a brokerage environment

  • Strong knowledge of personal insurance products underwriting requirements and market trends

  • Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Proficient with EPIC or other insurance management systems

  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional client service
