Why Your Role Matters:
The Lived-Experience Project Worker (Autism) provides administrative and project coordination support to initiatives aimed at improving mental health and overall health outcomes for autistic individuals. This role is designated for a person with lived experience as an autistic individual and involves contributing personal insights to guide project design and delivery.
Working within the 3DN team at the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health the role supports projects such as the NSW Autism Mental Health Strategy and related education and training initiatives. The position is responsible for assisting with project planning coordination of meetings and workshops stakeholder communication and general administrative functions to ensure effective project delivery.
Reporting to academic staff supporting the Chair of Intellectual Disability Mental Health this position has no direct reports and plays a key role in ensuring that lived experience perspectives inform and enhance the Centres autism-related mental health projects.
