Within our Analytical Services team we have a functional service provider solution which is an outstanding partnership that allows our customers to use the experience of our staff while allowing you the employee to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company all while maintaining full-time benefits.
Thermo Fisher Scientific currently seeks a Laboratory Analyst ( QC Technician) to work at our clients GMP site in Wavre this role you will perform routine QC testing on vaccine samples in development using a variety of analytical methods such as chromatography and electrophoresis.
Your responsibilities are to:
Plan and organize your daily laboratory activities with guidance from senior team members ensuring required materials reagents and equipment are available and properly validated
Perform routine quality control testing in compliance with GMP standards and laboratory safety requirements
Analyze review and document test results clearly and accurately
Maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with established procedures
Complete laboratory notebooks and logbooks and support investigations or corrective actions when deviations or anomalies are observed
Communicate results observations and issues effectively within the QC team
Support day-to-day laboratory operations including reagent management and equipment monitoring
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as method optimization process improvements technology transfers and scale-up activities
Take part in training sessions knowledge-sharing activities and laboratory seminars to support your professional development
Requirements:
Bachelors degree with a scientific orientation (Chemistry Biochemistry Biology etc.)
First hand experience working in a regulated laboratory (ideally in chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) and/or electrophoresis gel / SDS-Page / capillary electrophoresis...) in a pharmaceutical or associated environment
Analytical mind detail-oriented and demonstrated excellent critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work in a team and willingness to embrace change and innovation
Fluency in English and French languages
