Your Responsibilities as a Managing Engineer:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff on a wide variety of infrastructure projectsfrom planning and design through bidding and construction.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring project schedules budgets technical quality and team workload.
- Strengthen and expand client relationships and workload through responsive value-driven engineering solutions.
- Guide and mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on quality accountability and professional growth.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships by proactively identifying new business opportunities through networking thoughtful engagement proposal preparation and client presentations supporting the growth of our regional business development program.
- Partner with division leadership on strategic planning business development and client relationship management throughout the western U.S.
- Play a central role in talent development succession planning and long-term organizational sustainability.
- Take the lead for refinement and implementation of the firms strategy business growth plan and day-to-day operations of our Sacramento office to achieve overall corporate objectives and ensure profitability.
What were looking for:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California (or ability to obtain such a license)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Nevada (preferred)
- At least 15 years of civil engineering experience
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teams
- Project management experience including development of project proposals scopes budgets and successful execution of engineering projects
- Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities
- Experience with strategic planning client development and operational oversight
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills
