DescriptionThe Automatic Jacket Machine Operator will serve our Water Heating Division located in Montgomery AL.
Responsibilities- Review program specifications work instructions or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing finished workpiece dimensions or numerical control sequences.
- Operate machine tool equipment as assigned and load or unload material i.e. blanks into machinery.
- As required sets stops on machine bed change dies and adjusts components such as ram or power press when making multiple or successive passes.
- Monitor machine operation for correct feed length and ejection of parts and waste.
- Conduct first piece and in process quality inspection verify dimensions using micrometer template straightedge or scale. Record data on piece inspection report.
- Confer with supervision or engineers to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors and to obtain approval to continue production.
- Perform minor machine maintenance such as cleaning machines dies or work pieces.
- Follow all safety procedures while maintaining good housekeeping in work area.
- Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
- May be exposed to high noise levels heat dust and airborne particles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED.
- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions; ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g. patterns of numbers letters words pictures mathematical operations).
- Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs.
- Occasional lifting of 60 lbs.
- Must be able to stand walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
- Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend twist/turn reach push/pull.
