We start from fundamental chemistryelectrolytes electrodes and interphasesto drive innovation in materials and address critical challenges in electrochemical chemical and mechanical stability at interfaces. These insights enable the development of advanced energy systems including Li/Na batteries flow batteries and electrochemically driven chemical manufacturing with scalable architectures for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research on solid-state batteries; high-energy electrodes; electrolyte and interface for batteries; battery lifetime prediction and diagnostics via automated and high-throughput experimental platforms; electrochemically tunable materials for electronic devices.

  • Design and perform electrochemical mechanical and advanced materials characterizations.

  • Develop novel materials coatings and interfacial engineering strategies to enable high-energy safe and durable energy storage.

  • Collaborate with internal and external academic/industrial partners on joint projects.

  • Prepare manuscripts for high-impact journal publications and present at international conferences.

  • Contribute to grant proposal writing and new project development.

  • Mentor and supervise PhD Masters and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Materials Science Chemistry Chemical Engineering Electrical and Electronic Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role / technical hands-on experience in materials synthesis electrochemical testing and advanced characterization techniques.

  • Proven track record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
