Lead Software Engineer AWS and Java, Spring

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banks Securitized Product group you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
  

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• Strong experience to cloud technologies- AWS along with hands on experience in Java Spring
• Proficient in Relational databases
• Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
• Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience to agile methodologies such as CI/CD Applicant Resiliency and Security
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Experience with Containerization Kubernetes
• Experience in Cloud Native application development with public cloud AWS service and event driven architectural constructs are added advantage
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies - ReactJS
• AWS certification preferred
