Job Summary
Join Axpo as a Senior Trader of carbon certificates in the rapidly evolving emissions market. Take financial proprietary positions and help to develop analytical models.
What you will do:
- Take proprietary trading positions in carbon certificates or related commodities/products.
- Work closely with our analysts fostering knowledge transfer developing in-house models and enhancing fundamental market forecasting.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation in carbon trading practices.
- Provide market access to other desks for hedging purposes.
- Discuss and share views with our other related trading desks (power gas petroleum etc.)
What you bring & who you are:
- Masters or PhD in business or natural sciences.
- Several years of experience in trading EUAs and/or UKAs within a trading house fund or utility.
- Proven track record of strong PnL performance.
- Willing and able to work in an international context.
- Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
