Job Summary

SH-742 Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health Alexandria MN

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide onsite nursing services at the Community Behavioral Health Hospital in this role you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary treatment team delivering person-centered and trauma-informed care to support patients in a behavioral health setting. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a safe therapeutic environment and helping patients achieve their individual treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team collaborating to provide comprehensive patient care.
Utilize person-centered thinking positive behavior supports motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care principles to prevent and respond to patient situations.
Facilitate and document all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge.
Implement individual treatment plans and document the results of interventions to track patient progress.
Oversee and administer medications in strict accordance with all policies processes and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Provide culturally sensitive professional nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of each patient.
Uphold all safety health and environmental standards to maintain a safe clean and humane environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensure: Must possess an active and unrestricted Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment.

Skills:

Proven ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
Strong understanding and application of trauma-informed care motivational interviewing and person-centered planning.
Proficiency in clinical documentation and adherence to treatment protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
