Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide onsite nursing services at the Community Behavioral Health Hospital in this role you will be a vital member of an interdisciplinary treatment team delivering person-centered and trauma-informed care to support patients in a behavioral health setting. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a safe therapeutic environment and helping patients achieve their individual treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team collaborating to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize person-centered thinking positive behavior supports motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care principles to prevent and respond to patient situations.
- Facilitate and document all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge.
- Implement individual treatment plans and document the results of interventions to track patient progress.
- Oversee and administer medications in strict accordance with all policies processes and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Provide culturally sensitive professional nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of each patient.
- Uphold all safety health and environmental standards to maintain a safe clean and humane environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must possess an active and unrestricted Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment.
Skills:
- Proven ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong understanding and application of trauma-informed care motivational interviewing and person-centered planning.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and adherence to treatment protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
