The client is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to ensure the functionality safety and longevity of heavy-duty machinery and equipment at their Salome AZ facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in equipment maintenance diagnostics and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems while maintaining a commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

• Inspect diagnose and repair engines hydraulic systems and mechanical/electrical components using diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment.

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance such as oil changes lubrication and adjustments to ensure peak performance.

• Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules with department managers to minimize downtime.

• Repair or replace worn components including hydraulic cylinders hoses and 12V/24V electrical systems.

• Conduct welding and metal fabrication for repairs and structural reinforcement.

• Inspect and test heavy equipment such as excavators forklifts shears bobcats and grapples for faults or safety issues.

• Maintain and service attachments such as blades winches and booms.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime.

• Maintain detailed maintenance records through a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

• Monitor inventory levels for parts and tools; coordinate reordering as needed.

• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

• Train and guide operators on preventive maintenance and safe equipment handling.

• Keep the maintenance area clean organized and compliant with safety protocols.

• Experience: 8 10 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty machinery.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic systems repairing cylinders and diagnosing 12V/24V electrical systems.

• Additional Skills: Skilled in welding metal fabrication and using diagnostic tools.

• Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.

• Familiarity with CMMS software preferred.
