As a Engineer Generation you will:
- Administer and optimize Energy Management Systems (EMS) through configuration tuning and security patching.
- Perform corrective technical actions to restore failed or failing services within the EMS environment.
- Conduct code reviews deployments testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and system modifications.
- Work on power system applications in the Generation domain including Automatic Generation Control (AGC) Load Frequency Control Load Forecasting Economic Dispatch Power Flow State Estimation Contingency Analysis and Operator Training Simulator (OTS).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of EMS systems.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Power System Applications related to Generation.
- Proven experience in EMS platforms such as GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) AEMS/GDC or equivalent systems from Siemens OSI ABB Schneider etc.
- Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
- Strong background in relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of programming and scripting languages including C C PERL SQL and Shell scripting.
- Ability to read and interpret logs debug files and perform root cause analysis.
You should possess the ability to:
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic operational setup.
- Manage system performance and security while maintaining high availability and reliability.
- Adapt quickly to new tools technologies and processes in energy management systems.
