About the Role
You will provide consistent relationship-based support to young people aged 16 as they transition towards independent living with a particular focus on UASC and complex care leavers.
This is a hands-on purpose-driven position: youll help young people build stability develop essential life skills (such as budgeting and cooking) and promote inclusion through our Community Café (CIC). The café and wider community hub are central to our approach offering a platform for engagement growth and empowerment.
Beyond the Rota (Your Initiative)
Were looking for proactive solution-focused people who take ownership. Youll use initiative to identify maintenance needs spot engagement opportunities and complete property-related duties during shifts.
We particularly welcome applicants from non-traditional backgrounds including trades hospitality or community work who bring a practical people-first approach to care.

Essential Requirements
Safeguarding Must hold or be eligible to obtain a clear Childrens Enhanced DBS Certificate. This is a non-negotiable legal requirement.
Experience Must have at least six months experience working in a residential childrens setting. This will be verified through references.
Qualifications Must hold a QCF (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care Children and Young People or provide evidence of current enrolment on a recognised course to obtain this qualification.
Professional registration Must be registered or eligible for registration with Social Care Wales (SCW) for childrens residential services. This is a mandatory regulatory requirement.
