Job Description
Duties include:
1. Providing companionship to client.
2. Preparing meals.
3. Providing verbal medication reminders consistent with state regulations.
4. Selecting appropriate apparel for client.
5. Performing light housekeeping which includes (as outlined in the service plan) dusting
vacuuming cleaning the kitchen organizing closets changing linens and making beds doing
light laundry and light ironing.
6. Doing errands and provides transportation which may include grocery and clothes shopping
picking up prescriptions going to doctors appointments driving to the beauty parlor or barber
shop going to the gym dining out for lunch or dinner driving to family outings handling dry
cleaning buying stamps and mailing packages and attending church services.
7. Completing documentation of services per agency policy.
8. Reporting any significant client changes to the office immediately.
9. Following all policies and procedures as outlined by the agency.
10. Reporting any TB or Hepatitis exposure to the agency.
11. Abiding by the agencys infection control policies including proper handwashing techniques
consistent with CDC Guidelines.
12. Additional responsibilities as assigned
