Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:
- Plans implements and manages programs that support the health safety and well-being of team members.
- Focuses on the promotion and restoration of health prevention of illness/injury and protection from occupational and environmental hazards.
- Serves as the health advocate for team members and management. Organizes and prioritizes clinical activities to maximize effective utilization of time and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborates with the EOHS Nurse Consultant and Infection Control Practitioner in conducting post-exposure surveillance to ensure early detection and treatment of infections.
- Educates team members regarding the risk of contracting infectious disease in the work place and the importance of compliance to post exposure processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Licensure: RN licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a RN in ambulatory medicine
