Job Summary
Looking for a bachelor student (BSc) to code the back-end of a software tool to compute the view factors of all satellite finite element thermal model nodes. The student needs to have a good understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer theory in particular conduction and radiation python programming language and usage of Git basic knowledge of orbital mechanics and 3D CAD software (CATIA prefered).
The objective of the project is given a spacecraft level CAD model produce a thermal model and compute the view factor matrix for each thermal model node using already existing and open source python library (pyviewfactor).
Qualifications :
Knowledge using CAD software (such as CATIA) and python programming skills and usage of Git. Knowledge of thermodynamics in particular heat transfer by conduction and radiation.
Basic knowledge of orbital mechanics are a plus.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
