Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Contract Administration Manager to be based in our Roanoke VA office.

The Construction Contract Administration Manager will supervise the Roanoke Construction Administration Department consisting of Construction Project Managers Cost Estimators and other personnel. The manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies. 
Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. 
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors including understanding of current business trends. 
Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. 
May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization. 
Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical financial and client satisfaction.

Establish department standards and procedures while facilitating training to the local office.


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Due to the nature of the role U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
  • A valid Drivers License is required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices and as a condition of employment the selected candidate must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of applicable experience ideally on projects involving federal clients including military branches
  • Due to the nature of the role ability to obtain a DOD security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines clients and contractors
  • Experienced using Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Experienced using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
  • Experienced using Contract Manager or similar construction management software
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction ways means methods and sequences
  • Knowledge of Federal State and local regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Responsive to changing demands Strong leadership skills
  • Good team-building skills
  • Employs flexibility of method
