JOB SUMMARY:
Performs semi-automatic/automatic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) operations and GTAW tack welding on a line of standard and repetitive parts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Works from sketches routings and process control sheets to understand dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces sequence of operations and setup requirements. Dimensional and alignment requirements are liberal or controlled by fixtures.
- Performs semi-automatic/automatic GTAW operations on similar and dissimilar metals usually in flat position requiring limited technique and basic welding fundamentals.
- Certifies to groove weld on 0.032 thick Stainless Steel Nickel Alloy and Cobalt Alloy material (17-4PH Inconel 718 Haynes 188) per AWS D17.1 Class A.
- Certifies to tack weld on Stainless Steel Nickel Alloy and Cobalt Alloy material per AWS D17.1
- Completes sheet metal grinding forming and fitting operations as needed.
- Visually inspects all weldments; identifies potential indications; and sufficiently repairs and reports defects.
- Demonstrates familiarity with welding symbols terms and definitions per AWS A2.4 and AWS A3.0.
- In coordination with Maintenance Department performs preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
- Proceeds under direct supervision.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Quality System work instruction requirements that govern GTAW operations.
- Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
- Supports and complies with safety policies and procedures.
- Accurately completes all required documentation.
- Meets attendance policy requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum of six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
