We are looking for a Concrete Solutions Engineer who is both experienced and creative to join our engineering team. The person who gets the job will be an expert in concrete design materials and construction methods and will help with a range of civil commercial and industrial projects. The Concrete Solutions Engineer will work closely with clients contractors and internal teams to provide concrete solutions that are advanced affordable and long-lasting.
Main Duties:
Make and plan concrete mixes that meet the needs of the project the environment and the performance standards.
Give technical help with concrete materials where to put them how to cure them and how to check their quality.
Look at and suggest new technologies and materials that will make things last longer and be more environmentally friendly.
Visit the site to check on the projects progress oversee the placement of concrete and make sure that design standards and safety rules are being followed.
Write technical reports proposals and other paperwork about concrete solutions.
Work with architects project managers contractors and clients at every stage of the project.
Do troubleshooting failure analysis and root cause investigations for problems with concrete.
Help with efforts to improve value and cut costs.
Keep up with the best practices codes and standards in your field like ACI ASTM and PCI.
Help junior engineers learn and grow and take part in professional development programs.
Requirements:
A bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering materials science or a related field.
At least three years of experience in construction materials testing or concrete engineering.
A lot of knowledge about how to mix concrete materials science and building methods.
Knowledge of industry codes standards and testing methods like ACI ASTM PCI and others.
Great at analyzing solving problems and talking to people.
Being able to use engineering software like AutoCAD Bluebeam and mix design tools.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but you can get one if you want.
Able to work well with others in a team setting and handle more than one project at a time.
Willing to go to project sites when needed.
Pay by the hour is between $40.00 and $55.00.
