What Youll Do

As a SDET within the Email Security team youll leverage your creativity and technical skills to solve complex problems elevate customer satisfaction and drive Mimecasts mission forward. You will play an integral role in ensuring our software quality is excellent and our code and deployments are constituently maintaining high quality and continually validated.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and Implement Automated Tests: Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure software quality and efficiency
• Participate in Development and Testing: Involve in both the software development process and the testing process contributing code and test cases
• Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with developers to understand product requirements and ensure testability of new features
• Bug Detection and Reporting: Run tests at various levels (unit integration system) detect bugs and report them using bug tracking tools
• Develop Testing Tools: Build custom tools to support testing and improve automation processes
• Ensure Best Practices: Advocate for and implement software testing best practices and patterns
• Test Documentation: Document test cases results and maintain test reports for ongoing quality assurance.

What Youll Bring:

• Domain experience in Quality Engineering especially automated testing.
• Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Java Python C# or similar.
• Deep Understanding of Testing: Knowledge of software testing methodologies patterns and best practices
• Automation Expertise: Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Cypress Selenium JUnit TestNG).
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse requirements and design effective test strategies
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
• AI Tools: At Mimecast we leverage the latest technologies including the AI revolution. Experience with AI tools (like cursor copilot) that enhance productivity is highly desired
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality software
• Demonstratable ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
• Strong communication skills with experience in effectively communicating and providing demo on technical concepts
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging of customer issues
• Good to have experience in software security security reviews and secure coding practices
