Job Summary

A leading law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its California offices (Los Angeles Orange County or Century City). This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate matters with a team of highly regarded attorneys.

Experience Level: 36 years
Compensation: $190000 $300000 (depending on experience skills and qualifications)

Position Overview

The Real Estate Associate will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions dispositions leasing and financing. The role requires significant drafting and negotiating experience as well as the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight while collaborating within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases purchase and sale agreements loan documents and joint venture agreements.

  • Conduct title and survey reviews manage closing processes and perform transactional due diligence.

  • Work with developers owners investors and lenders on financing development and investment matters.

  • Advise clients on entity structures contracts and other real estate-related documentation.

  • Provide practical solutions-oriented counsel while managing risk and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 36 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions including leasing and acquisitions/dispositions.

  • Strong drafting organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage matters independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Admission to the State Bar of California required.

  • Large law firm experience or equivalent complex transaction experience preferred.

  • Practical business experience in real estate and/or membership in ULI NAIOP or similar industry associations is a plus.
