As a territory sales representative for commercial lines youll be the face of Progressive for independent this role youll meet with agents in your assigned territory to influence and advocate for increased utilization of Progressives products and services. Youll tailor your agent meetings to create opportunities to benefit both Progressive and the agency. As an account sales representative youll manage the quality of the book of business and overcome objections to drive profitable growth within your territory. By becoming a trusted partner youll learn the agencys goals and how our products fit into those goals. Youll be provided a company vehicle phone laptop and company credit card.
Territory: Chicago Rockford Quincy Alton Bloomington IL and surrounding communities.
Travel Requirements: Candidates will be expected to travel frequently within their assigned geographic area to meet with agencies from Tuesday to Friday. Overnight travel within the territory will be required approximately 6-8 times per month. Additional overnight trips may take place for agent meetings conferences or team events outside their assigned territory. Training will also require overnight travel to Ohio or Florida.

Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMust-have qualifications
High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience.
OR Bachelors degree or higher and a minimum of three years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience.
This position requires compliance with Progressives driving standards and/or policy.
This position requires a valid drivers license and auto insurance.
Preferred skills
Outside business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated ability to advocate influence and advance results and business outcomes
Ability to manage work and weekly schedule independently and efficiently prior experience in a field-based role
Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals and review data sources
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with a sales or customer relationship management tool (i.e. Salesforce)
Compensation
$95000-$113000/year
Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
