Job Summary
Position: Mechanical Sourcing Engineer
Job Description:
The Mechanical Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for the identification development and management of suppliers for mechanical components. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring cost-effective procurement timely delivery and quality assurance of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Component Development & Sourcing
- Identify develop and qualify vendors for mechanical components.
- Collaborate with design and production teams for component feasibility and manufacturability.
- Experience with Sheet Metal Plastic Parts Rubber Components Fasteners and Labels.
- Perform cost analysis and estimation for these commodities.
- Conduct supplier cost breakdown analysis.
- Lead cost negotiations and finalize pricing with suppliers to achieve target cost objectives.
- Manage development of tools dies and molds including cost evaluation and supplier coordination.
- Identify vendors for special processes and ensure supplier capability and capacity.
- Maintain supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to international standards (ISO / AS) related to supply chain and sourcing.
- Execute purchasing processes and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time availability of components for production.
- Demonstrate excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills for effective supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.
