Key responsibilities

Client consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their needs preferences and budget for their kitchen space.

Design and planning: Create detailed blueprints and layouts for kitchens including the placement of cabinets appliances plumbing and electrical work.

Material selection: Advise clients on and help them select appropriate materials finishes flooring and appliances.

Project management: Collaborate with contractors tradespeople and other team members to ensure the design is implemented correctly and on schedule.

Budget management: Provide estimates and manage project costs to stay within the clients budget.

Code compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building and safety codes.

Stay current: Keep up-to-date with the latest kitchen design trends products and materials.

Essential skills and qualifications

Creativity and design sense: A strong eye for detail color and aesthetics.

Technical proficiency: Ability to use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and read blueprints.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and contractors.
